This traditional century old stately house was fully refurbished in 2005. The Manor House Kandy promises the visitor a grand welcome with, luxury 10 bedrooms, 4 exquisite suites, a majestic living rooms and most of all a staff ready to welcome you as the new owner of this Walauwa. The ten rooms in Manor House are simply beautiful, decorated with a few dark accents.Named after Sri Lankan flowers the spacious rooms are with marble or polished Teakwood floors. They have a wonderful way of making you feel like you are in your own room -- not in a hotel, where there were guests before you and will be guests after you. Most of the rooms and suites are spacious and are recently decorated and furnished, largely with cream or white walls and dark wood furniture. For coolness the rooms have tiled floors and many have very pretty windows and king sized or generous twin beds. Each room has its own individual decorative scheme, some quite ornate and 'heavy' in the 19th century style of the Manor house. Set over 3 floors the rooms are all very spacious with new en suite shower and bathrooms. The dining area is large has a large table where a 14 people can sit down for a family dinner. There are also plenty of tables carefully placed around the restaurant. The staff at the Manor House will be more than glad to serve you many western dishes or local cuisine according to your liking. Please make note that the bungalow does not serve alcohol. But the guests are allowed to bring there own alcohol corkage will not be charged.
