Episode 20 Part 2 Normal POV It was midnight and Demi rolled over in bed and poked Joe to wake him up. Demi: Joe. Joe: mhmm. Demi: It's midnight. Joe: And? Demi: Merry Christmas Joe looks at Demi and smiles and kisses her on the lips. Joe: Merry Christmas, now go to sleep cause you know the kids are going to wake us up early. Demi: I know but I wanted to give you an early present before everyone else. Joe: ok. Demi grabs the box from the drawer next to her and hands it to Joe. Joe: umm... Demi: Just open it. They were still laying down so Demi brushed her nose against his cheek. He opened the box and then took out the pregnancy test and even though it was night there some light in the room and he could read it perfectly. Joe:We're pregnant. Demi: We are. Joe: How long have you known? Demi: 2 weeks. Joe: 2 weeks! Demi: I know I would have told you sooner but I thought since Christmas was coming around this would be a cute way to tell you. Joe: How far along are you? Demi: 3 weeks along. You're happy right? Joe: extremely. That's why you didn't drink today? Demi: Yeah because I can't. Joe: I wish you told me then I wouldn't have either. Demi: No you don't have to do that again, you did it with the twins and you don't have to do it this time. With your work being so stressful you need a beer or something every once in a while. Joe: Dems, I do it because I want to. I'll be fine. Demi and Joe were sleeping peacefully, when Rose and Jason walked into the room and looked at one another before climbing onto the bed. They looked at one another one more time and then nodded and started to jump up and down. Rose and Jason: MOMMY, DADDY! IT'S CHRISTMAS. Joe opened his eyes and sat up and grabbed them and placed them on his lap. Jason: Daddy we were having fun. Joe: Yeah jumping on furniture is always fun. He chuckled and kissed the top of their heads and Demi sat up as well. Rose and Jason: Merry Christmas Daddy, Mommy. Jemi: Merry Christmas you two. Let's go down and open presents, what do you think about that? They nodded their heads fast and both Demi and Joe chuckled. They got out of bed and went down and slowly everyone else came out of their rooms and came out as well. Demi made coffee for the adults, but tea for herself and hot chocolate for the kids as they opened presents. As they were opening presents Demi and Joe pulled Rose and Jason to the side. Joe: Rose, Jason me and mommy have some news. Jason: What is it daddy? Joe: Well me and mommy are going to have another baby. Rose: Will you have twins again like us? Joe: God I hope not. Demi elbowed him and the kids looked at him confused. Demi: We don't know we still have a couple of months. Rose: OK I want a sister. Jason: NO I want a brother. Joe: Knock it off you two, we will know in a couple of months ok. Whether you get a brother or sister, you will still love it won't you? They nodded. Demi kissed their heads. Joe: Go and open your presents. They ran back into the living room. Joe: Ready to tell the rest of the family. Demi nodded, Joe wrapped his arm around Demi. They walked into the living room. Joe: Everyone can we have your attention. They all looked at Demi and Joe. Demi: We have something to tell you. They all looked at them confused and Demi turned to Joe. He cleared his throat before speaking. Joe: Me and Demi are well, we're pregnant. Everyone got up immediately and walked over to them and hugged them and congratulated them. They spend the rest of the day together and had a nice dinner, that Denise, Demi, Nicole and Dani made while the men took the kids to play in the snow. Joe POV I look at the kids and Demi who were sleeping on the bed. Right now I couldn't be more happier. Rose moves closer to me and buries her head into my chest, like mother like daughter. I bring my arm over and rub her back, just like I used to do when she was a baby. Rose: Daddy. Joe: Baby girl you should be sleeping it's late. Rose: I know I just wanted to say I love you. Joe: I love you too. Jason: Daddy. Joe: You're awake too? Jason nodded and I motioned him closer to me and he did. Jason: I love you daddy. Joe: Love you too buddy. You guys want to go to your beds. They nodded and I got up from bed and I picked up Rose and then Jason. I walked into Jason's room and placed him into bed. Rose was already falling asleep. I tucked in Jason and kissed his forehead. Joe: I promise I will always be there for you, Jason. I will keep this promise as well. I put Rose to bed and she grabbed her bunny and held it tight and I kissed her forehead and told her the same thing. I always told them that before they went to bed. I remember the day my dad promised me the same thing but he didn't keep it. But I will keep it for them. I walked back into my room and wrap my arms around Demi. If it wasn't for her then I wouldn't be here right now and I wouldn't have what I have thanks to her I understand the Joy of Christmas. The End.
