tibor29 Says:

May 20, 2012 - It's 3:1 ;)

tibor29 Says:

May 20, 2012 - You need 200 regular jumps to be able to fly a wingsuit FROM A PLANE. If you want to do wingsuit base jumping, you also need additional 100-150 skydives from a plane with a wingsuit + 150 regular BASE jumps.

TheReasonWhyGuy Says:

May 20, 2012 - um, are you sure? Sounds good :) 1 mile up giving you 3 miles of horizontal travel?

May 21, 2012 - my life is boring..

innerloop Says:

May 22, 2012 - hey thats not bad. thanks for the info.

tibor29 Says:

May 22, 2012 - Yep, that's correct. But it also depends on the type of wingsuit and your flying style. Some wingsuits are designed for achieving maximum air time and glide ratio by having large surface area. Others have smaller surface area and smaller glide ratio but are easier to fly and maneuver. 3:1 is what the largest, most advanced wingsuits are able to achieve if you fly them very efficiently.

TheReasonWhyGuy Says:

May 22, 2012 - So, I'm also curious about physical demands. I assume you need to be fit, and that flying more efficiently is more difficult
