NatAllie - The New Season #32 "Morn", Nat said, grumpy and scratched his head. His hair stood in all directions and he looked still tired. He sat down at the last free place at the long polished oak table. The dining room was furnished in the style of the late 19th century, the post civil war era. Dark paneled walls and the other furniture gave the room a representative, imposing and solid ambiance. The huge glass doors to the garden side stood open and the sunshine promised a hot day. The others were already there for breakfast, everybody chewed but they looked up and nodded friendly. Christina chuckled and smiled towards him, she thought he looked funny with his messy hair. Nat smiled back while he helped himself to some toast. "Chris don't forget the veterinary's coming today for Ham?", Henry said by the way. "Yes, I know Dad. Don't worry it's my horse I'll take care of it." Alex looked up. "The veterinary? Is your horse sick or something?", Alex asked curious. "Er", Chris smiled awkwardly, "it's not that it's er", she looked at his father for help. "It's that he's going to be a gelding today", Henry said serious. Boris, Jake, Nat and Chris the bass player exchanged a look they grinned. "Gelding?", Alex said wondering. Polly and Michael looked horrified. As far they knew Alex he wouldn't give up before he knew every single detail now. "Er, those horse won't be a stallion anymore", Polly explained hesitatingly. "Hu? Why? How should it work?", Alex asked further. "He's going to lose two important things", Michel added. "What things?", Alex asked innocently. "Er, he's going...", Polly said. "...to lose...", Michael said and struggled for words. Everybody looked curious at him. "...his cojones", Henry said finally. "Cojones?" Alex looked confused. "Goodness, they are going to cut off his balls", Nat suddenly blurted out. "NAT!", Polly said appalled. "What? It's true", Nat said abashed. They all looked at Alex. He looked disgusted. Suddenly a small smile appeared on his face. "Cool. Mom, can I watch it?" "Ehheem?" Polly looked irritated. "Please, it's education. You always say I have to learn more in biology", Alex said with emphasis and put on a puppy dog face. Alex, Michael, Boris, Jake, Nat and Christina stood around the paddock. The veterinary gave Ham a sedative injection. The proud young, black, barb stallion Hammoudi winced slighty and neighed as the needle pricked into his neck. After a while he got drowsy. The veterinary pulled up another shot and bend down. "OMG, he won't shot directly into his, uugh?" Nat looked horrified. "Yes, he will. It's only a local anesthesia." Chris looked at Nat worried and patted his hand at the paddock bar sympathetic. "You, don't have to watch this." Nat peered over to Alex who watched fascinated what happens. "No, no it's fine if Alex can I can stand it too." Chris knew the procedure. Her father made his hobby to his job and started to breed barb horses. The veterinary took out his instruments. Antiseptic, Ligatures and a special forceps. He waited for 10 minutes more then he took the scalpel. Chris looked around with a gloating look in her eyes. Boris and Michael were pretty pale and Jake grabbed the paddock bar forcefully. So did Nat except he had been chosen Chris's arm instead the paddock bar. "Ow." Nat didn't realize what he did. He watched the scene, his expression was commiserating and sad. Chris took softly his hand and and laid it on the bar. Finally it was done in half an hour. Hammoudi still stand there, drowsy. Chris grinned gloatingly. She wasn't surprised that the guys all seemed to be a bit weak now. "It's always the same", she mumbled. It was their own fault, their decision, except Michael, Polly made him to look after Alex. In the very moment Michael thought about how to pay her back. They had lunch. Jake, Boris, Michael and Nat stabbed listless in their food. Angelica served meatballs today. "Mom, and there was a noise as the vet ..." "ALEX!", Michael, Boris, Jake and Nat said contemporary. "Please, just leave it", Michael sighed. Alex decided to look at it in a scientific way. They spent the afternoon lazily at the pool. Nat laid in the shade at the veranda in a lounger as Chris walked to him. She still wear her jodhpurs and a blouse. She sat down at the edge of his lounger. "Hey, what's up?" "Just lazy on a sunny afternoon", he said. Chris took the iPod on his towel and looked thoughtfully at it. Suddenly a smile appeared on her face. "You should more enjoy the quite side of country life", she said stood up and run away with his iPod. "What the ...", he reacted slow. She was already around the corner but he ran behind her.
