The Mighty Dwarf BlueII - Bluetooth is one of two products launched at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas. Here is a demonstration of the capabilities. The unit is operating on a lithium-ion battery. The speaker can pair with any Bluetooth® enabled device. This pairing allows the speaker to operate at a significant distance from the source of the music feed - in this case the Apple iPhone®. The controls on the speaker, as well as the controls on the phone can be used to control the music preferences. There is a built in microphone on THIS unit that allows it to operate in a business setting as a stand alone conferencing tool. Like any Mighty Dwarf, the surface the unit sits on BECOMES the speaker! In this video the hotel furniture is transformed INTO the sound system for the room! Jan 15, 2012 - Just saw the news about this product. Obviously I wouldn't be expecting home hifi quality sound, but as I can't hear this speaker for myself at the moment, how does it cope with a real bass heavy track please? Any chance of another video? Cheers.

Jan 16, 2012 - Yes we are working on getting the true audiophile a demonstration that would provide comparisons that would provide such information. Our challenge is to "produce" one that 1) is not staged 2) will demonstrate the product effectively knowing that the audience will only have access to the peripheral speakers available on their own devices. With this in mind we look forward to the unbiased feedback from the many bloggers and other media exposed to this product at CES 2012.

Mar 16, 2012 - It can operate quite easily in the 100 to 110 dB range depending on the surface it is placed upon and the type of music or sound being played.
