Apr 24, 2008 - I think some of us are mixing up Art Deco with "Modern'"

Apr 24, 2008 - HI thanks for the note, you may be correct, however Frankl designed American Deco Interiors and since teh majority of these items were designed in the 30's into the 40's I have coined the term Tropical Deco, but could be coined Tropical Modern as well.

Feb 23, 2009 - His works, except for the skyscraper book shelves which I own, do no stand the test of time in terms of aesthetics. My father "collected" much of Frankl's works (mostly furniture and rare clocks) and I had to sell most of the when I inherited it from him. They are too ugly to be in a modern home.

Apr 22, 2011 - This really isn`t art deco furniture. It might work in a cheap hotel in Miami, but could you see this in The Bauhaus or The Isokon for example?
